I awoke last night to the sound of thunder. How far off.... Wait. that is a song isnt. But it is true. I did wake up last night to the sound of thunder. And did wonder WFT was going on. For the house was shakeing. And wind was ever so houling.
When my cat went to hide. I should have known something was up. I did not hear any warnings going off. I still had power. Though lights was blinking. So I did not worry much. And just laid back to sleep.
After all passed away. I was just about asleep, When I heard like ever fire truck in the city start up. I was like. WFT again. Storm is gone. I get up and look at my window to see damage and fires. Not really knowing how bad it was. Or if lighting did the fires.
But it was just down the block from me. Was not till I get up this morning that I seen on national news. That a F3 went through Evansville. And into KY. It missed me. But not by much. I little more north it would be me on the TV looking at the damage. Or me laying on the ground dead!!!!
Over 20 they have found so far. Did not make it.
Life is short. And you can be taken at anytime. Lay down to sleep. And never wake up again.
My city seemed to make it ok. But so many now without homes and loved ones
Makes all my problems in life really small. For I still have all of that. The best part of life. Even though times seem ruff.
Thank God for that. And all my close dear friends on DA here. I thank God for you also. And Pray you all stay safe.
